M.E. and Ray started Luvlabs.com after getting their second lab Bella in June 2009.

It was a tough choice getting another Labrador because there are so many great dogs.
Both mixed and pedigree have their merits.

Having a dog as wonderful as Abby made it even harder. Abby was a near white Yellow
Lab that was special to our family. She achieved near mythic proportions with true life
stories of retrieving 3 balls at once, learning to spell and even being housebroken her
first day. We worried that any Lab even of another color would remind us too much of
our lifetime companion.

Bella at ten weeks

Our new Lab Bella doesn't have her AKC registration and it doesn't matter since she won't be
shown or bred. Bella's life here will be filled with play and high quality dog food. We are crate
training her; we trained Abby the same way. The breeders called Bella a Fox Red Lab and she
is much redder than Abby. These days there are Silver Labs too, but the official colors are still
Black, Yellow and Chocolate.
